Prayer

> 3. How might I pray regarding Psalms 131, 138-139, 143-145?

O LORD God, thank You that we can safely put our trust and hope in You both now and forevermore. We just need to calm ourselves and not get so concerned about things that are beyond our capacity to understand. God, You are full of unfailing love and faithfulness, especially to those of us who are humble (or lowly) before You. People who do so will be vindicated and defended against their foes. Father God, You know everything about me and still love me passionately. Holy Spirit, help me learn to love and relate to the LORD just as passionately. God, come to the defense and rescue of those who humbly turn and learn from You. No one living is righteous before You, LORD God Almighty. Only Jesus Christ, God the Son, and those He has made righteous are. You, my God are loving and strong, compassionate and instructive, good and righteous. We need rescue from our enemies (natural and supernatural). Only You can rescue us, LORD! Great are You, LORD, and most worthy of praise; Your greatness no one can fathom. We who truly know You, LORD God, will meditate on Your marvelous works, proclaim Your great deeds, celebrate Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of  Your righteousness. This will further Your Kingdom, affirm Your power, and proclaim Your glory, LORD. AMEN

Action (Ask God, the Holy Spirit, if He wants you to work on one of the suggestions below or something else more personal that He points out.)

> 4. What action does the LORD want me to take in response to Psalms 131, 138-139, 143-145?

With the help of God’s Holy Spirit:

I will spend significate time in prayer affirming my trust in the LORD my God using these psalms as a guide.

I will join with others in my local congregation in praising and worshiping our great God.

I will cooperate with the LORD and let Him express His love, strength, compassion, assistance, goodness and righteousness through me to someone around me today.

I will commend God’s works to upcoming generations; I will tell them of His mighty acts in the past, in my own life and what He wants to do for them.
