Reflection
Consider the following questions regarding Psalms 133
> 1. What does this chapter tell me about God?
> 2. What does this chapter tell me about the human beings He created?
Here is one possible answer to each of these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit if there are any others for you personally to ponder.
Psalms 133
1. When God dwells in people’s heats, they live together in unity as brothers.
2. People are meant to live in harmony and unity with each other and with the LORD.
Prayer:
>3. How might I pray regarding Psalm 133?
I acknowledge, LORD God, that You do not dwell in special buildings made by human beings. Through faith in the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross, His resurrection, and the work of the Holy Spirit in my life, I can be a living, breathing sanctuary for You, LORD God. May increasing numbers of people turn to You in faith and be blessed, prosperous (of soul), satisfied with more than food, and clothed with godliness, faithfulness, and joy. LORD God, as You dwell in and with Your people, we will live in harmony and unity with each other and with You. May it be so, and may it be soon. For then, we will bring You glory, LORD. AMEN
Action: (Ask God, the Holy Spirit, if He wants you to work on one of the suggestions below or something else more personal that He points out.)
>4. What action does the LORD want me to take in response to Psalm 133?
- I will diligently seek out a place where I can worship the LORD alone.
- I will diligently seek out a place where I can worship the LORD with others.
- I will listen quietly to hear how the LORD wants to be worshipped and then follow His plan.
- I will make an effort to reconcile with a family member.
