The Craftsmen Appointed By the LORD Construct the Tabernacle and Its Furnishings
Verse of the Day: “So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the LORD has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the LORD has commanded.” (Exodus 36:1 NIV 2011)

We Respond
Reflection.
Consider the following questions regardingExodus 36-38
> 1. What does this chapter tell me about God?
> 2. What does this chapter tell me about the human beings He created?
Here is one possible answer to each of these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit if there are any others for you personally to ponder.
Exodus 36-38 will be addressed as one continuous narration of the careful construction of the tabernacle,
1. It is God who motivates and equips and supplies workers for His service.
2. Occasionally, God-centered people supply more than is needed for His work.
Prayer
> 3. How might I pray regarding Exodus 36-38?
Dear Father God, thank You for leading the Israelites out of Egypt and giving them the Ten Commandments and the instructions for constructing the tabernacle as well as the rest of the Torah. Thank You for equipping Bezalel, Oholiab, and the rest of their work force to construct a place that Your people could carry with them to worship You and be aware of Your presence wherever You led them. Please give me (and all Your people) a willing heart to give back to You so that Your work both near and far can be done as You direct. May our contributions, like those of the Israelites for the tabernacle and its furnishings, be more than enough to complete and sustain the tasks You initiate. May we, Your people, follow Your directions explicitly. May all that we say and do draw people to You, displaying Your awesomeness, beauty, purity, mercy and grace and bring glory to Your name, O LORD. AMEN
Action (Ask God, the Holy Spirit, if He wants you to work on one of the suggestions below or something else more personal that He points out.)
> 4. What action does the LORD want me to take in response to Exodus 36-38? With the help of God’s Holy Spirit:
- I will pray that every part of God’s kingdom will have more than enough to complete the tasks He has in mind.
- I will ask the Holy Spirit to equip and empower me to carry out whatever He wants me to do.
- I will examine what skills, possessions, time, and money God has given me and ask Him how He wants to use them to build His kingdom (both near and far).
- I will seek to carry these things out with an attitude of love and thanksgiving to God.
