Praise and Proclaim the Greatness of the LORD God
Verse of the Day: Sing to the LORD, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalm 96:2-4 NIV 2011)

Prayer
> 3. How might I pray regarding Psalms 89, 96, 100-101, 105, 132?
O LORD my God, You are great, loving and faithful. At our core, because of our sinful nature, we human beings are not. Our lives are fleeting. You are eternal and holy. You created us to be like You, but our first parents’ decision to believe and act on Satan’s lies changed all that. Sin brought death. But You set in motion the process for the Messiah to conquer sin and death. In due time, Jesus, God the Son, will judge the world in righteous and the people in His faithfulness. People and everything in creation were designed to worship the LORD. May we begin to do so now. May people throughout the earth declare, “The LORD God is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” Precious, Holy Spirit, please cause multitudes of people to come to know that the LORD is their God–personally and corporately. LORD God, You are full of love and justice; You are worthy of praise. Because of that, people who claim to know and love You should be careful to lead blameless lives. You, O God, provide for and defend Your servants. I envision people everywhere giving praise to You, LORD, proclaiming Your name. They are making known among the nations what You have done. God, You swore an oath to David that one of his descendants would be the Messiah. He will one day make Zion His chosen dwelling place forever. Like David, may people dedicate themselves to making a proper place for You in their lives. Then we will bring You glory, LORD. AMEN
Action (Ask God, the Holy Spirit, if He wants you to work on one of the suggestions below or something else more personal that He points out.)
> 4. What action does the LORD want me to take in response to Psalms 89, 96, 100-101, 105 132?
With the help of God’s Holy Spirit:
- I will thank God for His love and faithfulness in my life.
- I will confess my sins to God so that I can be forgiven and declared blameless before God.
- I will make known among the people in my sphere of influence who God is and what He has done.
- I will dedicate myself to making a proper place for the LORD in my life.
