TBR Day 003: Genesis 8-11
Biblical principle from the passage: The LORD, the God of the Judeo-Christian Bible, makes and keeps His promises. For example the rainbow.
Related Verse(s): Isaiah 54:9; Levticus 26:42, 45; Luke 1:51
Prayer based on the passage or principle:
LORD God, thank You for not forgetting Noah, his family and the animals on the ark. Thank You that the first thing Noah did upon leaving the ark was to lead his family in worshiping You, their rescuer. You were so pleased that You promised to never again destroy the whole earth with a flood. The rainbow is the symbol of that promise.Thank You for how Shem and Japheth honored their father even when he was drunk. May children today, both young ones and adults, treat their parents with similar respect. Although it is good for people to work together, we should never unite against You as they did at Babel. Thanks again for watching over families especially those who seek to follow You. May we all bring You glory, LORD. AMEN
Applicable news item or story:
Besides making and keeping His promises, our God is generous. He expects families to practice this trait and to pass it on to succeeding generations.
