The Bible Project: overview of the book of Job
We Respond
Biblical principle from the passage:
There is a continual, invisible conflict going on between God, His angelic and human forces and Satan, his demonic forces and the humans knowingly or unknowingly aligned with him. (spiritual warfare)
Related Verse(s): Genesis 50:10; Ephesians 6:10; John 5:19-30
Prayer based on the passage or principle:
O LORD God, thank You that You are sovereign over everything. The book of Job shows us that whenever Satan wants to harass us with bad circumstances, he has to get Your permission. You are right there with us whether we realize it or not. You will use it for our good and Your glory at the proper time. In the meantime, our trust in Your goodness and love can grow and be strengthened. We should be like Jesus and demonstrate that we love God the Father by spending time talking with Him and show our love for people by healing and minstering to them. In the end, You gave Job a much greater picture of who You really are. Please do the same for me and millions of other people on this planet. For Your glory, LORD. AMEN

Although we are in a constant spiritual battle as Job was, God’s Spirit is on the move especially in college sports. He is using people to rescue others from Satan’s control and move them into Jesus’ kingdom.
